Forte dei Marmi is a popular resort with marvelous beaches on the Italian Riviera, just 40 miles away from Florence. The nature surrounding the resort is dominated by the Apuan Alps with their picturesque forms and bare faces of the famous marble quarries. Madonna di Campiglio is a pretty Dolomite town situated at 1550 meters of altitude. It has been a famous ski resort for more than a century.
